Connect To Nature For Your Wellbeing

More recently I have found an increased love of being outside more. I know that this is due to the warmer weather. After hibernation for the winter it is only natural to want to bask in the warm glow of the sun and spend some time grounding ourselves to the earth again. It is great for uplifting my own wellbeing.

Connecting to the earth can really help with wellbeing. Being outside and in the sunshine is great for relaxation but why don’t we do it more.

We have a small outdoor space – a balcony – so the means we need to make the most of the space for it to feel a relaxed place for the whole family. We have cleared the big plastic toys of toddlerhood so that we can all enjoy the space. Looking after easy to grow plants such as lavender, strawberries and sunflowers have brightened up an area and then some lovely trellis to give a more garden space feel.

I have loved reading outside on a supersized waterproof beanbag with a glow of sun from above. However there is nothing like putting your bare feet onto dewy spring grass to put some more happy into your soul.

It can be easy to feel disconnected when you’re hiding out and not getting fresh air everyday. This summer I am making sure I pack my mandala blanket into my back pack and heading to local wild spaces to work – not only does this mean switching off from the laptop but it means giving some freedom to do something towards my own self care. Breathing in, viewing and writing is on the cards. I hope you’ll take something away from the blogs I’ll be sharing here to help boost your own connection with yourself.
