Shopping for a preschooler can be quite hard, especially if like me you have an older child of the same gender! Quite a few of the things we have looked at online for Freddie we have realised that we already have from James!

We had a day out Christmas shopping recently and asked a few friends to share their fave places as well as mixing in our bargain buys! As a team we love the tradition of something to wear, something to read, something to learn from and something you want.

Something to listen to

LeapFrog Learn and Groove Scout Music Player

We decided to get this for Freddie as he loves music and every time we have music on the TV via Spotify or YouTube he gets very excited. This comes with 20 songs preloaded to encourage children to move as they learn! We got this from Argos in the two for £15 offer

Something To Learn

Chad Valley PlaySmart Phonics Board

As I mentioned above we took advantage of the two for £15 offer at Argos and picked up this phonics board. We used to have a bus toy that taught phonics but it has finally given up after five years of us owning it! Since Freddie is now three and starts the school nursery next September we wanted to pick him up learning toys which he could have fun with!

Something to make

LEGO DUPLO My First Puzzle Pets –

The Kids love building so we looked for some Duplo for the little one sea lego for the older ones. Brickpals is a great resource to check out before you invest in lego if you are unsure as to what to buy. This puzzle pets set is in the 3 for 2 offer at Boots and is £10. I have a feeling that this will be used by both boys as James loves to build big towers.

Something You Want

Ninky Nonk Activity Train

For the In The Night Garden fans we have the Ninky Nonk activity train. This is made up of five bright carriages each with a different activity. For example the Tomliboos carriage is a shape sorter and the engine carriage is a nightlight. It also includes the instantly recognisable Ninky Nonk train sounds, 3 of the Character Songs and a soothing bedtime lullaby.

If you have any other preschooler suggestions let us know in the comments!
