Review // Dad Gets Dressed Up With Jacamo

This winter we were challenged by Jacamo to dress Gav up for the new season. From Jumpers to smart shoes, from paisley prints to muted autumnal colours heres what we got for Gav and his thoughts on the items!

Joe Browns Double Collar Paisley Shirt (£40)

I’m not going to beat about the bush here – I’ve been looking for a nice paisley shirt for some time and fell in love with this utterly gorgeous thing the second I set eyes on it. Mixing vibrant colours with dark tones it looks stunning, and more than that it feels great to wear, a comfortable fit and cotton soft feel. And I won’t lie to you, when I wear it I get the urge to slip on some round tinted shades and blast some late 60s sounds from the stereo. Which is really no bad thing at all.

Williams & Brown Leather Toe Cap Derby Boots (£50)

I’m quite fussy about shoes and boots – and have always sought out ones that are smart and tidy but stylish – allowing for wear at formal and informal occasions alike, with smart or casual clothing. And these boots fit that bill in bucketloads . They come in standard or extra wide fit – in my case standard, and I found them to be just right and comfortable to wear. Tidy.

Capsule Khaki Button Cardigan (£7)

One thing I’m always on the look out for

but so very rarely find these days is a good, smart cardigan. One that comes in a nice autumn colour, that doesn’t find itself plastered in unnecessary patterns or logos, and that knows what shape a cardigan *should* be. A cardigan that will feel good to wear and look great over a t-shirt or polo shirt. But where would I find one of those these days?

Oh here’s one. And at an amazing price. Well, I never.

Jacamo Roberts Baseball Jacket Regular (£20)

And keeping things smart and basic, here’s something that’s suitable for wear both in warmer times as an outer jacket and in cold months as an indoor top in place of a fleece. It’s warm but feels comfortable and easy to move about in – and looks good too.
