Salute Our Football Lionesses!

We are thrilled to announce that Pop superstars Little Mix have teamed up with The FA to launch a ‘Salute’ support campaign for England’s Lionesses ahead of this summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2017. Fizz is a huge fan of the band and working as an ambassador this summer for the WFA has been a brilliant experience for her.

To launch the campaign, Little Mix worked with the Lionesses, world number 2 female freestyler Liv Cooke and a number of amateur female footballers to make a video to their hit-song ‘Salute’ to engage fans and drive support for the team.

Members of the public and famous fans are now being asked to show their support for the Lionesses by submitting a salute on social media using #Lionesses to create a wave of support for the team ahead of their opening fixture vs Scotland on Wednesday 19th July. We will be joining in online. It is such a proud thing to be part of this initiative.

Share your salutes over on my Facebook page!

Isn’t the Little Mix video brilliant? With role models like this supporting girls and football I can see a lot of interest in the sport.

Ahh all the Euro17 build up was so much fun! We even had our Wildcats do a salute, although they tried again the week H wasn’t there and got a better one which I think is online somewhere.

It is all so exciting – looking forward to the new season starting tomorrow too – and I’m seeing loads of new girls starting to play in our groups as well, so word is spreading.
